Redditch, 20 July 2011 – Redditch-based Networks First, an independent network support services provider, has partnered with the support department and residents of Redditch YMCA to revitalise the common areas in the local supported accommodation.

Run over two days, around 20 people from Networks First donned their overalls and grabbed their paint brushes to help prepare and decorate key areas of the building including, the resources centre, games area, chill-out and TV area, entrance and foyer.

Sara Gemmell, managing director at Networks First, comments: “Networks First is constantly looking at ways to become involved with the wider community. When this opportunity came along we thought it would be a great chance for our employees to support young people in the region.”

Victoria Davies, youth support team leader at the Redditch YMCA, comments: “The project has made a big difference to the YMCA. Networks First really listened to what we wanted and has provided the residents with a common area to be proud of.”

YMCA resident Oliver Prewitt said: “I would like to thank everyone from Networks First who got involved in the project, they have transformed our common room in to an area that we really want to spend time in.”
