Networks First host remote IT network monitoring seminar for NHS Trusts at Wembley Stadium
Save the date – 2nd November 2007
September 2007: Networks First, an independent provider of support services for network infrastructures and IT healthcare solutions partner, Bates IT, will be hosting a joint seminar with CA on Remote Network Management - Maintaining Access to NHS Critical Applications – Eradicating downtime in the NHS’ at Wembley Stadium on 2nd November 2007. The event is aimed at senior IT staff decision makers whose organisations depend on a reliable infrastructure with minimal un-scheduled downtime.
CA Spectrum enables modeling and management of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks for LAN, WAN, wired, wireless, physical and virtual networks -- as well as the technologies and IP services provided over them. Patented root cause and impact analysis technologies pinpoint the precise cause of problems, identify impacted users and recommend corrective actions to improve restoration time. This is an enterprise solution which can manage and monitor the customers’ infrastructure not just the network.
The seminar will draw on the practical experiences of Networks First and Bates IT customer, Newham University Hospitals NHS Trust, looking at the role played by Spectrum through Networks First’s managed service.
The dedicated Network Management System (NMS) is located at the heart of the network, rather then remotely. This reduces the number of dependencies between the NMS and the managed elements. The solution being provided to Newham PCT combines Networks First’s in depth knowledge and experience of supporting and monitoring business critical networks with the extensive abilities of CA’s Spectrum Enterprise Management system.
Matt Kopli, Newham NHS Trust Network Manager said “Newham NHS Trust has extended its contract with Networks First for a further 5 years. We achieve 99.979% network uptime as part of our internal SLA requirement across our data network infrastructure. We have been particularly impressed with the performance monitoring and comprehensive reporting facilities.”
Peter Titmus, Managing Director, Networks First comments, “We are doing some tremendous work in partnership with, Bates IT and CA. IT decision makers – particularly those within the healthcare sector –will be very welcome to join us at Wembley.”
The seminar will be followed by a tour of Wembley Stadium and lunch and people who would to attend can reserve a place by calling Sallie-Ann Beck at Networks First on 0845 850 5577 or by email to Sallie-AnnBeck@networksfirst.com.
