Networks First Drives Expansion With New UK Appointments

Converged network service and support specialists to forge key customer and partner relationships

July 2006: Networks First, the UK’s largest supplier of network services and maintenance has announced several new appointments, five additions to the sales team, Julian Jackson, Bill Rhodes and three engineers, David Kakitie and Nomaan Hameed, following yet another year of record financial results.  In May this year the company reported a 25% growth in sales, doubled profits and 22 new partner relationships established for the 2005/2006 financial year.

In his capacity as Sales Manager Partner Accounts, Julian Jackson will head up a new Partner Account Team where he will be responsible for developing Networks Firsts’ relationships with strategic channel partners, delivering new services and solutions that will further drive revenues and build the company’s customer and partner portfolio. With twelve years experience in the IT industry Jackson has amassed extensive expertise across complete Cisco, 3com, Extreme and Avaya solutions fulfilling roles at Data Integration and Lynx Technology. Jackson comments, “There is a fantastic team here. Networks First enjoys very strong relationships with its partners and I’m thrilled to be able contribute to the company’s ongoing success.”

Joining the company alongside Jackson will be Bill Rhodes whose role as Strategic Account Manager will see him responsible for developing relationships and managing key accounts for Networks First. Rhodes brings with him nine years of experience with Ingram Micro Systems where, as part of the software division, he managed the IBM software business and recently recruited and launched Sophos and Oracle. Previous responsibilities within Ingram Micro Systems saw Rhodes holding a strategic role as part of a team which designed Ingram Micro’s pan European value-added distribution strategy culminating in the Ingram Micro Networking Services business.  Rhodes also spent time within the network division where he was part of the team which established Ingram Micro Networking Services in the UK following the acquisition of Sphinx CST’s Cisco business. In addition to these roles, he was also responsible for vendor management including 3Com, Enterasys and PowerDsine.

Also joining the company are David Kakitie and Nomaan Hameed as engineers at Networks First.

David Kakitie’s substantial experience as an engineer will add to Networks Firsts’ already highly skilled converged network service and support specialists.  Kakakitie joins Networks First from The FCT Group of Companies - the private investment, trading and clearing firm - where he worked as a Cisco consultant designing and implementing its London Network. Prior to this he worked as a Network Manager for the Business Environment Group Ltd where he created and implemented a new IT infrastructure plan for the company.

On the new appointments to the company, Peter Titmus, Managing Director for Networks First, says, “At Networks First we are focused on continually building upon the quality of our current services and support by improving our skills and accreditations within the emerging technology markets. We have a strong team with a wealth of experience that enables us to offer a high level of support to our customers and partners. We are delighted to be bringing new members into our team and look forward to working with them to further establish Networks First’s presence as the UK’s largest specialist maintainer of network infrastructures.”
