Networks First has developed an advanced quoting system to ensure continuity of pricing for its partner base and to create realistic consistent pricing for the services it provides.
Networks First’s latest IT systems take data from initial sales quote through all stages to the Service Desk. We have invested heavily in IT to help create accurate quotes where quality of information matters.
Our new systems allow us to go through a four phase approach to generate a quote.
Data preparation
Information from partners is manipulated in a form that can be used by our system and then restored back into its original format.
Part code validation and correction
This is an essential part of quote creation as incorrect part codes can mean that manufacturers will not provide escalation assistance. Also it shows Networks First what is required for spares and their locations. Our systems allow our highly experienced sales support team to spot and correct problems and to give feedback to partners.
Quote creation
Once the part codes have been validated the parts list is imported into the quote system along with serial numbers to generate a quotation.
Customer output
Final quotes are sent to partners in a variety of formats and layouts that best meets the partner’s needs.
In practice the automated systems can generate very accurate quotations rapidly. Recently a 1200 line quotation was turned around in 20 minutes.
