First Line NOC Engineer.
Networks First is recruiting for a First Line NOC Engineer.
The role of the First Line NOC Engineer is to ensure the smooth running of our services, which requires a proactive approach to service delivery with a key focus on the customer’s experience. As the First line role you will be responding to alerts generated by management systems and carrying out first line diagnostics. This will involve providing customer centric support on a 24×7 365 shift basis.
Networks First will assist in the development of the individuals both from a technical and soft skills basis to allow for progression within the organisation
Vendor certification is vital to Networks First to as it enables us to obtain resources from vendors (Sales, Pre-Sales, TAC and SR), therefore the individual will have an appetite for training and certification.
As the role requires the individuals to keep abreast of new technology the individual will be required to spend 1 day bi-monthly on skills update such as increasing their product knowledge and protocol knowledge.

- Entry level certification (or working towards) from one of the major vendors supported by Networks First or experience working with equipment from one or more of the major network vendors (Cisco, Extreme, Enterasys, Nortel, 3Com, Mitel, Avaya, Huawei and HP Networking)
- Experience in dealing directly with customers in an on-site environment
- Flexibility as the role will demand changes to work patterns at short notice. Engineers may also need to work within other Service Delivery teams as required
- CRB and SC Clearance required due nature of supported contracts
- ITIL Foundation (training will be provided)
- Attitude and willingness to learn and progress
This is a customer facing role were written and verbal communication is extremely important.

Networks First is a national organisation, therefore as an Account Manager you will be expected to travel around the UK and attend four customer meetings per week.

Will possess a strong IT services sales track record with demonstrable results in networking solutions selling with multi-vendor mix technology experience in the networking space.

Experience of working with service delivery teams
Experience of driving and winning tenders
Relevant industry knowledge and experience
Will have experience presenting up to board level and have proven success at closing high value contracts
Demonstrable track record of significant revenue and gross margin generation with complex product mix and multi-line services and solutions into target accounts.
Will have the required presence, gravitas and knowledge to be credible at all levels in an organisation.
Consultative or solutions led approach to new business development
Strong commercial acumen combined with good market knowledge
Can balance strategy development and tactical execution.
Location: UK wide
Salary: attractive basic, OTE uncapped
