NOC Consultant

Networks First Limited are recruiting for an NOC Consultant.

The service provided by Networks First is a restoration service and therefore NOC Consultants are required to resolve escalated incidents from First Line NOC or Field Service Engineers to guarantee that service to users is restored. Customer site visit will be required to resolve incidents that cannot be resolved remotely.

NOC Consultants are required to make complex changes for the managed services customer’s networks and for all security devices.

On an ad-hoc basis, NOC Consultants are require to provide assistance to the Pre-Sales team on network designs and verify designs technically.

A key element of the NOC Consultant role is to develop skills of First Line NOC Engineers and Field Service Engineers and therefore NOC Consultants are required to mentor engineers assist in their development both at a technical level and soft skill level.

As part of the Virtual NOC you are required to provide customer centric support as well as supporting First Line NOC Engineers and Field Service Engineers on an on-call basis.

Personal Development

Your Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in a support role with emphasis on Networks or Unified Communication & Collaboration (UC&C) environment.
  • As the roles requires mentoring of the First Line NOC Engineers and Field Service Engineers the individual will requires skills such as positive attitude, approachable nature and the ability to nurture other engineers.
  • Experience working with equipment from multiple major network vendors such as Cisco, Avaya Red, Avaya Blue, Mitel, Mitel Application Suite, Contact Centre, Check Point and Aruba.
  • Experience in dealing directly with customers.
  • Experience of supporting large scale, multi-vendor, complex installations of more than 3000 users.
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance (5 years UK address history)

The role of Internal Pre-Sales Consultant is essential in contributing to the overall sales performance by scoping and specifying network solutions that fulfill customer or channel partner requirements.

The Internal Pre Sales Consultant provides a pre-sales service desk for the reception, registration and initial qualification of customer enquiries. The goal is to turn enquiries into appropriate quotation responses forming a triage for high touch activity prior to allocation to a Technical Consultant or Product Specialist; or responding to Partner requests using guidelines provided.

The Internal Pre-Sales Consultant is part of team of multi-skilled individuals, the Internal Pre-Sales Consultant will also interact with other teams such as Sales, Vendor Management, Project Delivery, Customers, Vendors, NOC Consultants and other internal departments as required.

Project Office Co-ordinator

Networks First Limited are recruiting for a part time Project Office Co-ordinator.

The role of the Project Office Co-ordinator is working as part of a team to provide efficient scheduling and co-ordination of engineering resources for Professional Services requirements in a timely manner.

As a Project Office Co-ordinator you will be expected to deliver effective communication both internally and externally, dealing with partners, customers and engineers, to schedule the engineering resource and to monitor progress of a project until the project has been signed off.

This role contributes to the working relationships of customer and Networks First engineers.

The role will be initially offered as part time (4 hours per day) with a very strong possibility that the role will be full time within 12 months.

  • Previously worked in a telecommunications role and have experience of working under pressure;
